Electronic Curriculum Overview

The majority of the content in the Electronic Curriculum is password protected.  Current School of Medicine students and faculty have access to the password protected sites.  The following application may be completed to request access to restricted sections within the Electronic Curriculum: application form.

Web Syllabi - The School of Medicine has developed a web-based syllabus for each course in the first two years of the medical school curriculum.  A web syllabus contains: course schedule, faculty directory, lecture content, search engine, PowerPoint, pathology labs, glossary of key terms, interactive quizzes, charts, photos, diagrams, audio, video, and links to additional web resources.

Electronic Curriculum Bulletin Board - The bulletin board is currently available for each course in the first two years of the medical school curriculum.  Faculty post notices or last minute information on the bulletin board relevant to a particular course. Students post questions pertaining to course material and faculty respond to the questions on the bulletin board.

eCurriculum FAQ Center - The eCurriculum FAQ Center is available for VCU SOM M-1 - M-3 courses. The questions in the FAQ database are from current and previous students' posts on the eCurriculum Bulletin Board. These questions have been reviewed and answered by course faculty.

PowerPoint Lecture Slides - Slides presented by faculty in each
course are posted to this website by CBIL staff. They are available to students as PDF files with six slides per page and printed copies are available in CBIL.
